I have periods where I am obsessed with my nails. Then I have periods where they look absolutely ridiculous. And over the years of me trying to perfect my nails I’ve come across some things that work great.
I mean I’ve come across a lot of epic fails… But I guess there’s no point in wasting your time on those.
So here are 5 simple easy tips, tricks and hacks on how to get and maintain clean, strong and healthy nails.
Mix Argan oil, honey and sugar. Scrub on hands, focusing on the nails. Leave for at least 10 minutes. Wash off with cold water. Not only will you have amazingly soft skin, you’ll have moisturized your nails, in the hopes that they’ll be stronger and healthier.
All good stuff.
To refresh and remove stains from nails, simply soak hands in water with a squeeze of lemon. Rinse with cold water and repeat as often as you feel necessary.
Over time you should notice the fading of stains.
Go easy on the nail extensions. Other than the obvious damage that it can cause (brittle and chipped nails) did you know that full nail extensions can cause fungal infections or bacterial infections? Not fun.
So instead of full nail extensions try having fun and funky nail polish colors. They are easy to remove and cheaper in the long run. And no damage done. Yay!
For a smooth finish buff before applying nail polish. Not only will the final product look professional the polish lasts longer.
And I don’t know about anyone else but I am absolutely obsessed with the feeling of freshly buffed nails. Its so smooooooth >.<
Nail shape and strength and length is effected largely by genetics. So work with what you have. Love what you have. The sooner that you accept how your nails are naturally, the sooner you can feel comfortable in the knowledge that they are pretty darn amazing.
Love what you have while you work for what you want.
