Dry Skin Scrubs and Masks For Winter | Safaa.J.

Winter is only around the corner which can only mean 1 thing. Dry skin.
So I am here to share my two part skin care routine that I use all year round maybe once or twice a month to help keep the flacks and cracks that come with dry skin at bay. My magical ingredient?

Lemons ❤

Lemons have a lot of natural health benefits such one being vitamin c and It naturally evens out uneven skin tones over time. All lovely jubbly stuff.
Part 1: DIY Lemon Face Scrub
A good scrub will exfoliate, brighten, smooth and leave a healthy shine to your skin.
This DIY scrub will do that all that whilst being pretty inexpensive. (Music to my ears)
Just grab yourself half a Lemon, a table tablespoon of honey and tablespoon granulated sugar from your kitchen.
Mix your three ingredients until you get a consistency that you are happy with. I like a thick paste but I know some like a more thin consistency.
Gently message your DIY scrub on your face. Leave for about 5 to 10 minutes and wash off with cold or lukewarm water. Your face should be left smooth as a baby’s bottom. (Cleaner too) >.<
Part 2: DIY Lemon Moisturiser
After a scrub I will usually use the other half of my lemon and a table spoon of natural yogurt to moisturise my skin.
Apply evenly all over and wait for about 10 to 20 minutes or till the moisturiser dries and wash off with cold or lukewarm water.
If you can try ad use yogurt straight out the fridge, as the cool sensation is actually rather relaxing.
Yogurt face masks are actually amazing… That’s it. It’s decided! Yogurt inspired blog post coming your way soon!

Do you guys have any tips or tricks for keeping skin nice and smooth in the unforgivingly cold winter? Comment below and let me know.
